So what is NCYC anyway? Here is a short description from the group that organizes the event, the NFCYM (National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry):
The National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) is excited to offer the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) to the youth of your diocese. This year, NCYC 2023 will be held in Indianapolis, IN, November 16-18. NCYC is a premier national Catholic youth event that gathers High School aged Catholic teenagers for a life-changing encounter with Christ. At NCYC, teens pray, build community, learn more about their faith, and are empowered to live out their faith.
This year’s theme is Fully Alive, inspired by Genesis 1:23-27; God created mankind in His image; in the image of God, He created them. The theme "Fully Alive” explores the mystery of our creation in the image of God. When we are fully alive, we are the pinnacle of creation, vibrant and intellectual while also full of faith! It brings us to worship and to go out as stewards of our world, caring for our creation and our brothers and sisters around us. To be fully alive is to be like Christ. At NCYC, our team of speakers and artists will help our teens reflect on how they, too, are made in the image and likeness of God and are called to be Fully Alive in his presence.
What your child can expect:
• Inspiring Speakers – This year’s emcees: Sr. Josephine Garrett, CSFN and Mari Pablo
• Mass & Adoration – Celebrate our faith through liturgy and the Eucharist with thousands
• Music and Worship – Praise and entertainment led by Grammy-winning artists
• Interactive Exhibits – Games, crafts, obstacle courses, meetups, live radio, and podcast shows, and so much more

Join our Youth Leadership Team!
We are putting together a Youth Leadership Team at Holy Angels! We're looking for high school students (sophomore through senior) to help us plan and host events throughout the year. You can help lead a small group for 9th and 10th grade formation, plan retreats and social events, DJ our summer bonfires, run the snack table - or anything else that goes into youth ministry! You have to be willing to mentor to younger students and be able to work as part of a team (and have fun of course) - we'll show you the rest!
Interested? Complete the application linked here, and contact Brian at maseb@hawb.org or 262-343-2370 with questions.

Dear Freshmen - Welcome to High School!

Dear Freshmen,
We created these videos to provide advice to you (incoming high school freshmen) for this new chapter in life. Topics including navigating your way in a new building, mental health, making new friends, classes, and spreading your faith are all talked about in these videos! Hear from Bri, Daniel, Eli, Lydia, and Maren as they talk about their high school experiences and advice they have either received or learned along the way. All being either seniors in high school now or high school graduates, all of these students have amazing and useful advice for all freshmen. We hope these videos will help you in your first year in high school and remind you that this new season will be so much fun! Welcome to high school!
