All of these Ministries assist people in our parish, community, or the world!
Human Concerns Committee
The Human Concerns Committee is comprised of people that have a desire to help those in our community. This group of people brainstorm ideas about projects in which Holy Angels could be involved. They started our annual Blood Drive, they keep us involved in the St. Ben's Meal Program, set up the Giving Tree at Christmas and so much more. This group meets about once a month to talk about upcoming events.
If you would like to join the Human Concerns Committee contact John Ritger at 262-334-4394

Prayer Shawl
This ministry was started in 1998 in Hartford, Connecticut and has now become worldwide. The group at Holy Angels was started in 2008. The purpose of this ministry is to combine compassion and the love of knitting or crocheting into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. The shawl is intended to wrap, comfort and enfold the recipient who may be dealing with a physical, emotional or spiritual crisis.
The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient and continues to offer prayers as the shawl is made. When completed the shawls are blessed by one of the priests or Deacon Mark. Many recipients choose to pass on their shawls to someone else in need when the crisis is over, thus extending the ministry to others.
There is a supply of prayer shawls in the Holy Angels rectory and anyone is welcome to take one for him/herself or to give to someone in need. There is never a charge of a prayer shawl. We also make prayer shawls for Kathy Hospice and Serenity Hospice.
We meet about every 3 months in the rectory. For more information about the Prayer Shawl Ministry contact Carol Bork at 262-338-8558.

St. Vincent De Paul Society
Come see the face of Jesus…
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
As a reflection of the whole family of God, members, who are known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group, and economic level. Vincentians are united in an international society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings and adherence to basic Rule.
Organized locally, Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ. St.Vincent de Paul is a worldwide Christian community founded in Paris in 1833.
How Does St. Vincent de Paul help in West Bend?
Vinecntians work to help families throughout Washington County in need through a variety of ways including: rent, electric, food, medications, gas assistance. During on on one home visits, Vincentians assess each family’s needs, pray together and work to create a plan for assisting each family. St. Vincent de Paul is a supporter of the Journey Program located at Saint Frances Cabrini. They also visit the sick, help those exiting from jail with food and clothing, and help the homeless as they are transitioning through programs such as Family Promise.
