Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
Children's Liturgy of the Word, or CLOW, is offered most Sundays during the school year at the 9:30 am Mass. This free program offers children in grades K5-4 a chance to learn about the readings each Sunday at their level and gives them a chance to do an activity related to the readings. For more information and our full schedule, please visit: www.hawb.org/kidsliturgy
Faith Formation
The Faith Formation program is for school-aged children in grades K5-10 who do not attend Holy Angels School or another Catholic school.
The Confirmation classes begin in September of a student's junior year. Confirmation is celebrated during the Easter Season of the junior year.
Journey
The Journey program is designed to meet the spiritual and sacramental needs of children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities in Washington County. If this is something you would like to be more involved in, or if you would like to learn more click here!
RCIA/Why Catholic?
Do you want to help people enter the Catholic Church through The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), also called "Why Catholic?" Classes meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Two sessions are run throughout the year, one starting in July and one starting in November/December. Participants can receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil if they are ready. Contact Deacon Mark at [email protected] or 262-334-0140 if this is a ministry in which you would like to help.
Adult Formation
Programs and activities are offered throughout the year to provide opportunities for spiritual enrichment for the adults in our parish. If you have suggestions or ideas or would like to help please contact the Director of Faith Formation.

- Grades K5-8 classes meet Sunday evenings September-April. We also have a virtual program that meets twice per month on Wednesday nights over Google Meet.
- Catechist in the Sunday night grades K5-8 program: This person would be the lead teacher in a room of up to 20 students. There would be an aide in the classroom as well. Two people co-teaching the class would work also. There are approximately 23 one-hour and fifteen minute class periods on Sunday night from 6:00-7:15 pm. We begin in early September and end in late April. This person would also do the lesson planning for the class with the help of a Catechist guide (teacher's book) and the Faith Formation staff.
- Teacher's aide in the Sunday night grades K5-8 program: This person would assist a lead teacher in a room of up to 20 students. The role varies from one lead teacher to another. In some classrooms you help the students with a lot of projects, or you might be more of a co-teacher by helping to do some of the teaching. Sometimes this person is just in the classroom to deal with discipline issues. This all is determined by the relationship between the teacher and the aide.
- Catechist in the Wednesday night virtual program: This person would be in charge of teaching an online class of up to 20 students. All of the lesson plans for the year are done for you. It is up to you whether or not you would like to use them as they are, tweak them, or change them completely. All of the "Google Meet setup" will be done for you. All you need to do is log on and teach. On the virtual meet with you will be either Hannah, Brian, or our high school intern to help deal with technical issues or questions.
- Grades 9-10 Program consists of in-person sessions, independent study, service work, retreats, and other work that they will be expected to complete as part of their formation. Their learning will take place in small groups, large groups, and individually. Participation in our 9th-10th grade program is required if your child wishes to be confirmed in the spring of their junior year.
- Small Group Leaders: These are volunteers who have been confirmed that lead discussions in small groups. Small group leaders have the same small group each session and would also build relationships with the teens in their small group. All lesson plans and discussion topics and questions are done by Brian Mase.
The Confirmation classes begin in September of a student's junior year. Confirmation is celebrated during the Easter Season of the junior year.
- Confirmation Small Group Leader: This person would be a small group leader for a group of around 8 Confirmation students for 7 classes and one weekend retreat. The 7 classes are each 2 hours long and would include a meal. In total you will spend about 45 minutes per class in discussion with your small group. Discussion topics and questions will be provided for each class. It would also be the hope that small group leaders attend the retreat in late February. This two-night retreat is the high point of the preparation process for Confirmation. It is a great environment to help these students grow closer to God and prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
