Music Ministry
“God has bestowed upon his people the gift of song. God dwells within each human person, in the place where music takes its source. Indeed, God, the giver of song, is present whenever his people sing his praises.”
– Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship, paragraph 1
Music ministry is an important part of the liturgical life of Holy Angels Parish. Just as Mother Church earnestly desires that all the faithful should be led to full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations rightly demanded by the very nature of liturgy, it also calls on individuals to participate in music ministry so that these celebrations may be enhanced.

Resurrection Choir is currently active and provides musical leadership at Funerals. If a funeral comes in during the week, the choir members are notified and arrive approximately 45 minutes before the funeral to go over music as needed. For more information regarding this choir, contact Kurt Lulich ([email protected]).
Contemporary Choir The Contemporary Choir is made of instrumentalists (such as guitar, keyboard, flute, violin, oboe, etc.) and singers and under the direction of Ted Casper. For more information contact Ted via email
([email protected]).
Adult Choir The Adult Choir provides musical leadership as scheduled at Christmas, during Holy Week and at other special services throughout the year. The choir is made up of singers in Middle School thru Adults. It provides a wide range of liturgical choral music of all periods of the church’s tradition from Gregorian chant through the 20th century. Though previous choral experience is not required, it is helpful. The ability to read music is very helpful and desirable, but not required. For more information contact Kurt Lulich ([email protected]).
Children’s Choir The choir is made up of singers in grades 3 through high school (or until the voice has changed). For more information contact Kurt Lulich ([email protected]).
Instrumentalists are always welcome to enhance our liturgies, especially for major Feast days (such as Christ King, Christmas and Easter). Flute, clarinet, oboe, violin, viola, and bass are just a few ideas, but we are open to others! Music and rehearsal time will be provided. Contact Kurt for more information ([email protected]).
Cantors assist the congregation during Mass and other liturgical services. Cantors also lead the Responsorial Psalm and other solo moments and are able to read music. To become a cantor, contact Kurt Lulich ([email protected]).
