ELIZABETH MINISTRY MEETING

June 25, 2008

Present: Jenny Casper, Lisa LaFond, Annie Fichtner, Sara Riesberg, Jennifer Albiero, Rosanne Nosacek

Discussed call for contact person per Paula’s e-mail—what would it entail, how would it work.  No volunteers at this time.

Discussed Rose Program.  Jenny showed various fonts and card samples she had made.  Some fonts were too small to be read easily. It was decided to use colored ribbon to attach the cards to the roses, rather than have a rose on the card, to increase space for typing.  Agreed to begin Rose Program October 1, 2008.

Also agreed to begin Gift Bags October 1, 2008.  Will have an “action day” in September to assess what and how much we have, and to assemble bags to have on hand.  Would like to find a cabinet or closet at church or rectory in which to store the bags.

Action Day decided to be September 10th.

Lambs—door to church was locked, but a few have come in.  Not getting a great response, may have to come up with something else.  Close to 30 crafty lambs were donated by a parishioner, Lisa Winkler, but not sure if they will suffice.  Not snuggly, more suitable as a decorative item.  Reviewed “Feast of the Visitation Fest” held on May 31.  Everyone thought the day went well, and was successful.

Discussed how we find out about pregnancies, miscarriages, etc.  Word of mouth, Rose program—will people contact us?

Pampering Day for Pregnant Women.  Rosanne is taking charge of this.  Working title: Reclaiming the Gift of Pregnancy.  Wanting to encourage women to rejoice in the “wrapping” of the gift (Pregnancy and all its joys and struggles).
