Mike Sternig said the guidelines were helpful as he was hiring a school sec”y
·
Fr. Jerry said that hiring people for ministry was different
1)      you are discerning a vocation, a call from God.  The 1st contact tends to be more a discerning process.
2)      It is also looks more for God’s providence.  You discern a need and then pray that the right person is provided, e.g. we did a capital campaign to fund a
musician, just wrote the job description, & Stephanie showed up.
3)      Ministers are part of a pastoral team; the team is part of the discernment.
4)      Fr. Jerry will meet with the committee to see how these guidelines can adapt to this style of hiring.
